Stuart Lokhee is a registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar, with a focus on supporting first responders and men dealing with Family Law matters.

Recognising the unique challenges faced by these groups, Stuart's practice emphasises well-being and resilience, providing confidential tailored support during life's most stressful periods.

Based in Inner West Sydney, Stuart offers the convenience of after-hours Telehealth appointments and face-to-face sessions when appropriate and needed.

Stuart's qualifications include a Masters of Clinical Psychology, Masters of Criminology, a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology with Honors), and Graduate Diplomas in Psychology and Education. He is registered with AHPRA and is a member of the APS.

With over 25 years of professional experience as a first responder, including roles as a Police Detective, Federal Agent, Restorative Justice Practitioner, and UN Peacekeeper Stuart understands these environments .

His extensive background includes working with men involved with the Family Court, children, refugees, victims of crime, and individuals facing psychosis and addiction. He is particularly skilled in group therapy, addressing men's issues such as separation, anger management, post-separation parenting, and programs for new fathers.

Stuart's clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Problem Solving, Narrative, and Mindfulness Therapies.

His work emphasises fostering resilience, adaptive coping, and positive well-being, tailored specifically to the needs of first responders and men.

He offers evidence based therapy for:

  • depression, anxiety, persistent fears, panic, phobias, trauma and sleep problems
  • group consultancy for organisations available on demand
  • Stuart has collaborated with the United Nations, Australia Federal Police, NSW Police Force, Juvenile Justice NSW, Relationships Australia, local councils, and the NSW Department of Education & Training.
  • While he does not provide expert witness evidence for court, he is experienced in Family Law proceedings and has given expert police evidence in court.
